Mid-Year Concert – Ready, Jet, Go!

Showtime HMS Concerts ,

Saturday 6th July 2019 was one of our biggest concert days yet.

Ready, Jet, Go was a performance that took our students on the adventure of a lifetime. Our audience enjoyed the showcase of all the student’s talents as they packed their bags and set on a trip around the world. Our performances were based around songs and themes of various places around the world.

Concert days are always huge and exciting, and both the junior and senior concerts were a big success with large smiles and lots of fun. Showtime staff enjoy the satisfaction of seeing the students perform their concert pieces and the scale of improvement shown by all.

Well done to all our students and staff for an amazing adventurous concert. As well as a huge congratulations to all students who received awards:

Excelsior School Fair 2019

Showtime HMS Performances , , ,

On Sunday 7th April some of our students had the opportunity to perform in public at the Excelsior school fete. With a mix of routines entered in the performance the students practised at the studio to adjust and make changes to accommodate the performance space and alter anything else in preparation for the performance.

Congratulations to all students who participated and a huge thanks for representing Sometime HMS so well.

End Of Year Concerts – 5,6,7,8!

Who can believe another year has passed and with it another set of end of year concerts!?

Both of our concerts were held at John Curtin College on Saturday 15th December with a matinee for the juniors, and evening show for the seniors. The day went off without a hitch, running on schedule and no hiccups throughout the day.

We couldn't be prouder of the outcome - We have received so many wonderful reports from family, friends and students who all said these were our best concerts yet and the students had such a great time being involved. The projection videos between dances were a favourite for many members of the audience, a huge thank you goes out to Chelsea and Braydee for being the stars of the projections.

Friday Night Bites

Showtime HMS Performances , , , , , ,

Friday 2nd November was our first performance at Friday Night Bites.

Friday Night Bites is a food truck event in Harrisdale run by Little Market Place and Showtime HMS were invited to perform for the public in November and again in January.

Our performance team entertained the public with 8 routines combined of jazz, lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre and ballet. We had a range of students aged from 8yrs up to 24yrs perform on the night.

It was a chilly night and dancing on grass is never the easiest however our professional team of dancers made it work and wowed the audience.

See us perform again on Friday 18th January!

Spring Performances

Spring has been a busy time for Showtime HMS students!

On Saturday 27th October we were invited to perform for the Forrestdale Primary School 40th Anniversary Fair. For many of our students it was a busy day with their regular classes in the morning and then straight to the fair to perform at 2:30pm. That's what we call dedication! It was a beautiful day and our competition and specially selected dancers looked stunning on stage.

But that wasn't the end of it for many of our students! Most went on to perform the following day for the Piara Waters Community Festival. The City of Armadale had invited Showtime HMS to perform and get involved with their interactive stalls for the day. At the Showtime HMS stall we were teaching community members how to moonwalk. It was so exciting to see many youngsters, and adults, get involved and give it a go. We received great feedback from the audience regarding our students on stage performance and are so proud of their professionalism at both events on the weekend.

Coming next is our performance at Friday Night Bites on the 2nd November - As we said, it's a busy time at Showtime HMS but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Mid Year Concerts – Lights, Camera, Action!

Saturday 30th June was the big day of our mid-year concerts, both on the same day!

Lights, Camera, Action was a performance of routines to music from popular TV shows, movies and musicals. Students showcased what they have learnt all semester and boy was it great!

Teachers and Showtime staff are so proud of everyone who got up on stage and gave us their all. We saw so many smiles out on that stage and also a lot of fun and bonding to be had backstage. Concerts really bring the school together and it's so great to see everyone working as a team.

Congratulations to all of the students who received the encouragement award for their class, and also our two performance awards selected on the night and presented to Ava G (junior) and Ava J (senior). Must have been a lucky name!
