Throughout the year we are always on the lookout for that star student who works extremely hard in all of their classes. This is a child you attends all of their dance classes regularly, who is respectful to their teachers and peers and shows their passion for dance. We announce the "Student Of The Year" at our end of year concert and the selected student receives a trophy as well as their name and photo framed at the studio and here on our website.
2024 - Izzabella Couch
Age: 16 years

Classes at time of award: Advanced Jazz, Ballet Exam Elementary, Advanced Contemporary, & Lyrical.
Bella joined Showtime HMS in 2017 and has taken classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, and Lyrical throughout her time with us. She has been a dedicated and versatile student, excelling in multiple dance styles.
In 2018, Bella successfully auditioned for our elite jazz troupe and spent the next few years competing with her team at local dance competitions and fetes.
In 2025, Bella completed her Elementary Ballet exam en pointe, earning the highest mark of her class with Honors. She has also successfully completed her Grade 3, 4 & 5 Jazz exams, also with Honors, demonstrating her commitment and talent in her training.
Bella has been a part of our Student Teacher program for three years and, in 2024, began teaching her own class at Showtime HMS. In the same year, Bella travelled to Sydney with us for the Australian Dance Festival, showing great commitment to dance by pushing herself to learn new styles and complex choreography.
Bella is a joy to have in the studio. Her hard work, determination, and dedication to improving her skills are evident in every class. She approaches challenges with a positive attitude and consistently supports her peers, embodying the values of teamwork and resilience. Bella’s passion for dance made her an easy choice for our 2025 Student of the Year.
