Lyrical

Lyrical dance is a combination of ballet, jazz and contemporary dance where the choreography tells the stories of the musics lyrics. It is a very expressional style of dance and can really assist in developing emotion during performances.

Lyrical is characterised by fluidity and grace as the dancer flows from one move to the next. It is usually smoother and faster than ballet but not quite as fast as jazz. When a dancer can really connect to a story their lyrical performance can be very passionate and emotional.
